Protects
Protects the health of you, your family and community from bacteria and diseases that come from wastewater.
Tri-City Regional Sanitary District (TRSD), an Arizona Sanitary District established in 2011, was formed with a foundation and mission to improve the quality of life for the Tri-City area of southern Gila County, Arizona by developing a plan to provide and manage a new wastewater collection and treatment system. The TRSD area is comprised of Lower Miami, Claypool, Miami Gardens, Country Club Manor, Midland City, Bechtel Tract, and Central Heights. The TRSD Wastewater Collection and Treatment System project objective is to address the need for wastewater treatment to provide service for residents and businesses that have failed, failed, or substandard septic systems and cesspools that do not meet Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) requirements. Nearly 90% of TRSD existing properties are in violation of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Clean Water Act (CWA) and the Arizona Administrative Code (AAC). These conditions pose both environmental and economic concerns for this community.
